Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes! Part of that experience is providing every appointment with a private suite, as well as a personal bridal stylist to answer any questions you may have. You can book appointments online or by calling us at 858-523-9254. 

How long are appointments?

Bridal gown appointments are 1.5 hours
Bridesmaid appointments are 1 hour
Accessory appointments are 45 minutes

What are your price ranges for gowns?

Special order start at $1,500 and go up to $15,000 for bridal gowns.
Bridesmaids begin at $230

Where can I park?

We have over 65 free spaces in the back of our building. Turn right on 10th street and make a left behind the building.

What should I bring?

A strapless bra is recommended. Also, don't forget to bring photos of gowns you've seen online, or that you have tried on elsewhere. We'll use them as inspiration to show you gowns you'll love!

Who should I bring?

Bring friends & family who will be supportive and excited when you find a gown you love! We limit our groups to 7 people including the bride. Children and pets are not recommended due to all the glass, candles, and pins that could potentially harm them.

Can I cancel my appointment?

We know things come up, so if you need to reschedule just give us a call! We have a 48 hour cancellation and no show policy. No show appointments and cancellations made after 48 hours will be billed, as we do have brides on a waitlist wanting to try dresses. 

How long does it take to order a gown?

All of our wedding gowns are made to order and have a turn around time of 4-6 months. While this is great, we do suggest beginning your alterations process 6-8 weeks out from your wedding. With alterations in mind, the entire process can be 6-8 months. Plus, it's never too early to say yes to a gown you love! 

Standard shipping for bridesmaid gowns is 3 months. 

Do you have samples in my size to try on?

Yes! Our sample gowns range from bridal size 10-22 to try on in store. The Bustle carries over 25 different plus size styles that can be ordered up to size 34.

Sos! I'm getting married in less than 4 months, is it too late to order my gown?

Depending on the designer and their production schedule, rush orders are available for an additional charge. We also have a variety of samples gowns that can be sold off the rack. 

What's a sample gown?

The Bustle constantly receives new gowns and to make room, we sell our samples off the rack. This works well for you as they are marked up to 75% off the original price. Be sure to check our sample sale page as we are constantly updating it with new photos.

What's a trunk show?

Trunk shows give our brides the opportunity to try on new styles we normally don't carry in store. If you find the dress of your dreams, be prepared to make your final decision during your appointment, as the gown does leave the store at the end of the trunk show.

I'm an out of state/town bride, but would love to purchase my gown from The Bustle. Can you ship my dress to me? 

Because we're located in beautiful San Diego, we are frequented by brides from out of town and have perfected our shipping procedures to get your gown to you. The gown is first received at The Bustle for a thorough quality control. Once it's inspected and is nothing short of perfect, we will contact you to discuss shipping details. Additional shipping fees apply.

If my dress is a special order, why do I need alterations?

As part of the ordering process, your consultant will take your measurements to determine which size to order based off of your designer's size chart. While measurements help determine size, it's important to know that minor alterations are needed to achieve the perfect fit to your body. On average, a bride is seen 2-3 times to ensure the gown is tailored to you.
